Brief:

Take just another new light bulb and turn it into the most exciting product launch from Philips in years.

Solution:

We helped Philips realise just how revolutionary their connected smart lighting could be, by creating an entirely new brand for it – and we called it hue. Our involvement stretched from the multiple award winning packaging, the ATL and online advertising, the website and developer program, right down to building a social media following of tens of thousands of devoted fans in two years – all from scratch.

When hue launched exclusively in Apple stores on 29 October 2012, it sold out globally in two days. Since then Forbes have called it Best Product of 2012, it won Stuff’s Gadget Awards 2013 Home Product of the Year and it’s even been named the D&AD’s I wish I’d done that digital innovation of 2013.
