The Glenlivet is a strong brand with a fantastic heritage. But while US consumers were engaging the brand, it was the UK market that was starting to engage more with their competition. And so they needed a way of telling their unique story without alienating their different audiences, and without a huge budget.
As lovers of whiskey ourselves, we wanted to treat this brand with the respect it deserves and tell the fascinating story in the best way possible. We didn’t want to bombard the audience with overly complicated engagement campaigns, this is a more refined and discerned audience. And so we opted to capture some unique moments that would resonate with our audience, along with a line that related to both out attitude as a brand, but also with their own lives.
We captured 3 key images and a cinemagraph to use at different times through out the year on social media, along with a whole series of smaller images each with a bite-sized story segment taken straight from the brand’s rich history.
